Health is more precious than profit. Life is more valuable than glamour.
Stop Surrogate Tobacco Ads
Tobacco kills. Pan masala and gutkha are not “mouth fresheners” – they are dangerous products linked to cancer and other deadly diseases.
Yet, Bollywood superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, and Ranveer Singh have all appeared in surrogate ads for these brands. By promoting “elaichi” or “pan masala,” they indirectly endorse tobacco. Millions of young fans are misled into thinking it is safe.
Celebrities are role models. Their fame carries responsibility. We urge them: Stop advertising harmful products. Use your influence to promote health, education, and hope – not addiction and disease.
Join us in saying:
No more tobacco ads by our stars.
Health is more precious than profit. Life is more valuable than glamour.
