Deadline for Selecting the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS)

The deadline for selecting the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) is November 30th. This date has been set by the Ministry of Finance. Therefore, the deadline for selecting the UPS for all central government employees is November 30th. It should be noted that this date was originally set for September 30th, but was later extended to November 30th. The UPS pension scheme is different from the older scheme, NPS.

Deadline for Submitting Life Certificates


Submitting a Life Certificate is now mandatory for every pensioner. This year, the deadline for submitting a Life Certificate is November 30th. Therefore, if you are a pensioner, please submit your Life Certificate before the end of this month.

Deadline for Tax-Related Tasks

November 30th is also the deadline for completing several tax-related tasks. For tax deductions in October 2025, the deadline for submitting statements under sections 194-IA, 194-IB, 194M, and 194S is November 30th. Taxpayers who are required to submit reports under section 92E must also file their ITR by November 30th.
