Maithili Thakur Becomes India’s Youngest MLA with Historic Win in Alinagar 2025
Maithili Thakur has won the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. He defeated Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Vinod Mishra. However, this victory of 25 year old Maithili is not an ordinary one, rather she has created history by achieving this victory.
Now, Maithili Thakur has become the youngest MLA of the country. Although this election was not easy for him, but Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Vinod Mishra gave her a tough competition, yet she has created history by winning the election. Earlier, the title of youngest MLA was in the name of Telangana Congress MLA Maynampalli Rohit.
Educational Qualification of Maithili Thakur
The youngest MLA Maithili Thakur has also completed her education well. He studied at home till fifth grade. After that, his father moved to Delhi with the children. After this, Maithili Thakur joined MCD School at the age of 12-13, where she completed her schooling. After which he got a scholarship in the private school Bal Bhawan International School. After completing his school education, he joined a college of Delhi University for further studies, from where he obtained a BA degree."
Maithili Thakur makes history in Alinagar by becoming the youngest MLA in India after winning the 2025 Bihar Assembly election, defeating RJD’s Vinod Mishra. The 25-year-old singer-turned-politician secured a historic victory despite strong opposition, previously held the record for the youngest MLA by Maynampalli Rohit of Telangana Congress.
Background: Thakur studied up to fifth grade at home before moving to Delhi, attending MCD School at 12-13, then Bal Bhawan International School on a scholarship, and later earned a BA from a Delhi University college.
