Patriots trade QB Joe Milton III to Cowboys

The New England Patriots traded quarterback Joe Milton III and a seventh-round draft pick to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick. This move was driven by the Patriots' depth chart, where Milton was behind franchise quarterback Drake Maye and newly signed backup Joshua Dobbs. The trade allowed the Patriots to gain draft capital, while the Cowboys acquired a young backup quarterback with potential to support Dak Prescott, following the loss of Cooper Rush to the Baltimore Ravens.

Milton's performance in limited opportunities, including a notable game against the Buffalo Bills, made him an attractive prospect for Dallas.
