Cold Weather Payments are currently available for eligible households in areas experiencing seven consecutive days of temperatures at or below 0°C. Here's what you need to know:

Eligibility Criteria
You can receive a £25 payment if you get:
  • Pension Credit
  • Income Support
  • Universal Credit
  • Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support for Mortgage Interest
Payment Details

  • £25 per seven-day period of freezing temperatures
  • Payments automatic for qualifying recipients
  • Scheme runs from November 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025
  • Approximately 6,000 people across 23 postcode areas currently qualify
  • Payments arrive within 14 working days

Important Note
Residents in Scotland are not eligible, as they receive an annual Winter Heating Payment instead.
