Two young men tragically die in Devon crash

Two young men, Alfie Abbott (20) from Kingsteignton and Liam Shears (18) from Chagford, tragically died in a single-vehicle crash on the B3260 in Okehampton, Devon. The incident occurred around 3:15 AM on Tuesday, December 17, involving a blue MG ZS

Manchester City is experiencing a catastrophic run of form, losing 9 out of their last 12 games


Incident Details
  • Alfie Abbott died at the scene
  • Liam Shears passed away en route to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital
  • A 20-year-old driver from Chagford was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit and causing death by dangerous driving
Family Tributes
Both families described their sons as "cherished" and "beloved". Alfie was remembered as "the life of every gathering", while Liam was called "a treasured son, brother, boyfriend, and fantastic friend".Devon and Cornwall Police are continuing to investigate the crash and are seeking witnesses to provide additional information.

White House fires National Security Agency chief

Watch more The White House has fired General Timothy Haugh, the director of the National Security Agency (NSA), and his deputy, Wendy Noble. Haugh also led U.S. Cyber Command, overseeing both offensive and defensive cyber operations.
