Tik tok being banned in the US

TikTok is facing a potential ban in the U.S. after a federal appeals court upheld a law requiring its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, to sell the app by January 19, 2025.

If the sale does not occur, TikTok could be banned from U.S. app stores and online services. The court rejected TikTok's claims that the law infringes on constitutional rights, citing national security concerns related to data collection by foreign entities.

TikTok plans to appeal to the Supreme Court in response to this ruling
