The 'Home Alone' house has sold for millions just before Christmas

The iconic "Home Alone" house located at 671 Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka, Illinois, has sold for $5 million just before Christmas 2024. The five-bedroom, six-bathroom home was listed for $5.25 million and quickly found a buyer in less than a week.

The previous owners, Tim and Trisha Johnson, had purchased the house in 2012 for $1.585 million. Listing agents Dawn McKenna and Katie Moor of Coldwell Banker Realty expressed excitement about the sale, noting the home's significant place in cinematic history.

Interestingly, actor Macaulay Culkin, who starred in the original film, previously joked about considering buying the house "just for giggles" but ultimately did not purchase it.
