Storm Darrah's destruction

Storm Darragh is currently impacting the UK and Ireland, bringing severe weather conditions.

A rare red weather warning has been issued for parts of Wales and South West England, indicating a "danger to life" due to expected wind gusts of up to 90 mph

This storm is anticipated to cause significant disruption, including potential damage to buildings, power outages, and transport delays.

Heavy rain is also expected, with flood warnings in place across various regions. Authorities have urged millions to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel as the storm progresses, emphasizing the risk of flying debris and falling trees.

The situation is particularly concerning for areas still recovering from previous storms.
