Storm Darrah rare red wind warning


The Met Office has issued a rare red weather warning for strong winds as Storm Darragh approaches the UK, predicting gusts of up to 90 mph. 

This alert is active from 3 AM to 11 AM GMT on Saturday, affecting coastal areas of Wales and the Bristol Channel in England. The warning indicates a "danger to life" due to potentially damaging winds and flying debris.

Storm Darragh is expected to cause significant disruption, with additional yellow and amber warnings in effect across various regions. The storm could lead to travel delays, power cuts, and hazardous conditions, prompting officials to advise residents to prepare for severe weather impacts.

White House fires National Security Agency chief

Haugh also led U.S. Cyber Command, overseeing both offensive and defensive cyber operations.
