Police hunt for gunman after unitedhealthcare CEO is killed in manhattan


Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, was tragically shot and killed in a targeted attack outside the Hilton Hotel in Midtown Manhattan on December 4, 2024. 

The incident occurred around 6:46 AM as Thompson was arriving for a company investor conference. Witnesses reported that the assailant, who appeared to have prior knowledge of Thompson's arrival, shot him multiple times before fleeing on foot and later on a bicycle. 

Thompson was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai West hospital shortly after the shooting. Authorities are actively investigating the incident and searching for the suspect, who remains at large

White House fires National Security Agency chief

Watch more The White House has fired General Timothy Haugh, the director of the National Security Agency (NSA), and his deputy, Wendy Noble. Haugh also led U.S. Cyber Command, overseeing both offensive and defensive cyber operations. The reasons for their dismissal are unclear, but it follows a series of high-profile firings by the Trump administration,  including National Security Council staff members. Lt. Gen.
