Older car owners face new 2025 VED

 


Older car owners in the UK will face significant increases in Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) starting in 2025. Drivers of lower-powered vehicles will see their annual tax rise from £210 to £220.

 Additionally, those with older vehicles may experience even steeper hikes due to changes aimed at reducing emissions and encouraging the use of greener cars. 

The exact details of these tax changes are still pending, but experts anticipate a broader impact on older vehicle owners as the government shifts its focus towards environmental sustainability.

White House fires National Security Agency chief
