Lakers get blown out


The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Los Angeles Lakers with a score of 109-80 on December 2, 2024. 

Key performances included D'Angelo Russell leading the Lakers with 20 points, while Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert contributed 18 and 17 points, respectively, for the Timberwolves. 

The Lakers struggled offensively, particularly in the second half, and were outscored significantly in the fourth quarter. This win improved the Timberwolves' record to 10-10, while the Lakers fell to 12-9.

White House fires National Security Agency chief

Watch more The White House has fired General Timothy Haugh, the director of the National Security Agency (NSA), and his deputy, Wendy Noble. Haugh also led U.S. Cyber Command, overseeing both offensive and defensive cyber operations. The reasons for their dismissal are unclear, but it follows a series of high-profile firings by the Trump administration,  including National Security Council staff members. Lt. Gen. William Hartman will serve as the acting NSA director, while Sheila Thomas becomes the acting deputy director .   Top Democrats have criticized the move, citing concerns about national security and the lack of explanation .
