Kelly Cates is set to replace Gary Lineker

Kelly Cates is set to replace Gary Lineker as the host of BBC's "Match of the Day," forming a new three-person presenting team alongside Mark Chapman and Gabby Logan. 

This decision follows Lineker's announcement that he will step down after 26 years with the show, officially leaving the BBC after the 2026 World Cup. Cates, currently with Sky Sports, has extensive experience in sports broadcasting and is recognized for her engaging style. 

The BBC aims to refresh the show's format, incorporating a new direction for its highlights coverage

White House fires National Security Agency chief

Haugh also led U.S. Cyber Command, overseeing both offensive and defensive cyber operations.
