GCHQ Christmas Challenge for 2024

The GCHQ Christmas Challenge for 2024 has been launched, featuring a series of seven puzzles designed to engage young people aged 11-18.

This year's challenge, presented on a Christmas card from GCHQ's director, Anne Keast-Butler, includes tasks that test skills in codebreaking, mathematics, and lateral thinking.

Participants are encouraged to work in groups to solve the puzzles, which also contain hidden elements for an extra challenge. The puzzles aim to reveal names of notable UK landmarks and foster teamwork and creativity. GCHQ emphasizes that the challenge is accessible to all, encouraging diverse approaches to problem-solving.
