Fair ride drops to ground


Two individuals were hospitalized following an incident involving the "Star Flyer" ride at a Christmas fair in Birmingham. 


The ride malfunctioned and suddenly dropped to the ground while in operation, prompting emergency services to respond swiftly. A total of 13 people were affected, with two women sustaining non-life-threatening injuries and taken to Midland Metropolitan University Hospital for further treatment. 

The remaining individuals received on-site evaluations and were discharged without needing hospitalization. The incident disrupted the festive atmosphere in Centenary Square, and authorities are investigating the cause of the ride's failure.

White House fires National Security Agency chief

Watch more The White House has fired General Timothy Haugh, the director of the National Security Agency (NSA), and his deputy, Wendy Noble. Haugh also led U.S. Cyber Command, overseeing both offensive and defensive cyber operations.
