Debbie Nelson, Eminem's mother dies at 69


Debbie Nelson, mother of rapper Eminem, has passed away at the age of 69 after battling advanced lung cancer. 

She died on December 2, 2024, in St. Joseph, Missouri. Their relationship was famously tumultuous, often depicted in Eminem's lyrics, including accusations of neglect and abuse. Despite past conflicts, they attempted reconciliation over the years, with Eminem expressing regret in his song "Headlights." 

Nelson's legacy includes her memoir detailing their complex relationship and her support for Eminem's achievements, including congratulating him on his Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2022
