China bans export to the US

China has announced a ban on exports of key high-tech materials, including gallium, germanium, and antimony, to the United States. This decision responds to recent U.S. restrictions on semiconductor-related exports and aims to protect national security interests.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce stated that these materials are crucial for both civilian and military applications, impacting industries like electronics and renewable energy.

This escalation in trade tensions highlights the ongoing technological rivalry between the two nations and could disrupt global supply chains further, as the U.S. heavily relies on these materials for advanced technology production
