A winter storm warning is in effect starting Wednesday evening, December 4, 2024, with heavy snow and gusty winds expected. 

Snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are likely in affected areas, with wind gusts reaching 40 to 60 mph, leading to blowing and drifting snow that will severely reduce visibility and create hazardous travel conditions. 


The storm is anticipated to last through early Friday morning, with temperatures dropping significantly, resulting in wind chills as low as -10°F. Residents are advised to exercise caution on the roads and prepare for potential power outages due to the severe weather conditions.

White House fires National Security Agency chief

Haugh also led U.S. Cyber Command, overseeing both offensive and defensive cyber operations.
