A fatal shooting occurred in Southwest Miami-Dade on Sunday night, resulting in one person dead and another critically injured. Key Details:

  • Police initially responded to a ShotSpotter alert near Southwest 265th Street and 138th Court around 9:15 p.m., finding no initial evidence
  • Approximately 30 minutes later, a vehicle with two gunshot victims arrived at a Wawa gas station located at SW 112th Avenue and 248th Street
  • A good Samaritan flagged down police, who attempted to render aid
  • One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition
Detective Andre Martin stated that the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and did not occur at the gas station. Police are requesting anyone with information to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.

White House fires National Security Agency chief
