Joe Biden welcomed Trump


President Joe Biden welcomed President-elect Donald Trump back to the White House on Wednesday for a traditional transition meeting, marking Trump's first return to the residence since leaving office in 2021





This meeting represents a significant shift from four years ago, when Trump declined to extend the same courtesy to Biden after the 2020 election





The encounter between Biden and Trump is their first since a debate in June, after which Biden faced pressure to withdraw from the presidential race. He eventually stepped aside in favor of Vice President Kamala Harris, who was ultimately defeated by Trump in last week's election



Despite their past animosity, both leaders are expected to maintain a professional demeanor during the meeting



The White House has emphasized Biden's commitment to ensuring an effective and efficient transition, describing it as both customary and the right course for the American public



.The meeting is set to cover key domestic and international issues, providing an opportunity for Biden to share his perspectives and hear Trump's plans for addressing various challenges

White House fires National Security Agency chief

Haugh also led U.S. Cyber Command, overseeing both offensive and defensive cyber operations.
